How it works

A detective program built around real behavioral science.

Not a quiz and not a trivia game. Each case is a complete investigation with a crime scene, physical evidence, and suspect interviews where the behavioral indicators are real and the answers are not obvious.

Inside a case

01

The file lands on your desk

Crime scene notes written the way a tired detective actually writes them. Specific, atmospheric, and slightly wrong in one place that is never flagged. Evidence pointing in multiple directions. At least two items in every case point convincingly at the wrong person.

02

You read the suspect interviews

Every suspect answers questions. Their exact words and physical behavior are recorded beneath each response. No interpretation is offered, no indicators are labeled, no guidance is provided. What those observations mean is your assessment to make.

03

You use the investigation tools

Forensics lab, timeline builder, intelligence drops from confidential sources. Higher clearance levels unlock sections of the case file that junior operatives cannot see: the same case, more evidence, a fuller picture.

04

You commit to a verdict

You name one suspect, submit, and the case closes. No hints beforehand, and there is no way to change your answer afterwards. This matters because it mirrors real decision-making under uncertainty.

05

The after-action report opens

Every deception indicator from every subject, named and explained. Guilty indicators in red. Innocent subjects who showed anxiety are explained separately, because those two things look nearly identical and learning to distinguish them is the core skill.

The curriculum

Each rank corresponds to a skill module built into that period's cases. You are not told what behavioral indicators to look for. You develop the pattern recognition yourself, and the after-action report confirms what you found and what you missed.

Statement Analysis

+Verb tense shifts that reveal when recall becomes construction
+Pronoun use and the psychology of distancing
+Non-contracted denial and rehearsal indicators

Deception Detection

+Microexpressions: the involuntary face before the managed one
+Illustrator reduction under cognitive load
+Self-grooming behaviors and anxiety triggers

Behavioral Profiling

+Referential detachment in statements about victims
+Psychological distancing language
+Displacement activity and context-specific anxiety

Interrogation Psychology

+Strategic vagueness and implied knowledge
+Cognitive load indicators and reverse chronology
+Silence as pressure and minimization technique

Clearance levels

Your rank determines your clearance. Higher clearance reveals parts of the case file that lower-ranked operatives cannot see. Same case, more evidence. Rank is earned through solving cases and never purchased.
